Carly Hanson: Carly is in her 11th year as a judge. She serves as the tournament director for the MGGOA Classic, a 16-team invitational that's been going strong for 43 years and counting. She's grateful to stay involved with the sport she loves by officiating many meets throughout the high school season. She is also a member of the MGGOA board, a member of the MSHSL Officials Advisory Committee, and coaches younger gymnasts in the off-season. During her high school career, beam was her best event and bars was her worst, but they're both her favorites to judge.
Carly is a cartographer and data analyst and loves yoga, traveling, reading, NCAA gymnastics, and her cats.

Michelle Holt: Michelle has been a high school gymnastics official for 25 years. She enjoys watching the gymnasts improve and mature over the years. Her favorite event as a gymnast and official is bars.
Michelle is a Business Process Analyst for customer service in the healthcare industry. Outside of work Michelle likes to continue doing gymnastics, taking trampoline and tumbling classes. Occasionally, she pretends to run away with the circus by taking flying trapeze, cyr wheel and German wheel classes.

Jenni Smith: Jenni has been judging for 22 years. She serves as the Association Board President, MSHSL Clinician, MSHSL Diversity Equity & Inclusion Committee Member, former Officials Advisory Committee Member and is a MSHSL Distinguished Service Award recipient. She looks forward to the gymnastics season every year. Her favorite events to judge are floor and bars. As a high school gymnast, her favorite event was vault.
Jenni is a project manager in the legal field and has a passion for organization and coordination. She loves to travel, is an avid downhill skier, and adores her two cats. She also spends as much time as she can with her 13 nieces and nephews.

Elaine Taggatz: Elaine was a high school gymnast in the late 1960's and started judging after graduation in 1970. She served as a MSHSL Clinician from 1978-2013 and is now one of the MSHSL Gymnastics Coordinators. From 2000-2005 she served on the National Federation of State High (NFHS) Rules Committee and appreciated the dedication it took to write rules with the high school gymnast in mind, looking out for their safety and encouraging the growth of the sport. In 2007 she was inducted into the MN Girls Coaches Association Hall of Fame and has received the MSHSL 20, 30, 40, and 50 year awards, plus their 2012 Distinguished Service Award, and their Gymnastics Rule Interpreter Exemplary Service Award in 2014. Elaine is a retired church school secretary and continues to love judging girls gymnastics. She also loves spending time with her 2 grandsons and 2 granddaughters.
Amber Turcotte: Amber has been a high school gymnastics judge for 17 years. Her favorite event as a gymnast and judge is floor. Outside of gymnastics, Amber is a school social worker and enjoys working with teens. In her free time, she likes to travel and spend time at the ocean.
